Ancillary Training Facilities
In addition to the classrooms, PRTC offers a variety of ancillary training facilities.
PRTC is a first-class training and meeting facility offering state-of-the-art meeting and classrooms.
All are equipped with the latest in multimedia equipment and are well appointed to accommodate a variety of meeting set-ups. In the past this facility was exclusively used for RCMP training, but over the years other federal & provincial agencies such as CBSA, Transport Canada, BC Conservation Officer Service, DND, Natural Resource Officers and others have found PRTC a great fit for their meeting & training needs.
In addition to our training classrooms, tactical venues, and boardroom we also have a full-service hotel facility, operated by Executive Hotels and Resorts. We feature 221 well appointed rooms with all amenities you would expect in a 4-star hotel. Our room rates are fiscally responsible and include three meals per day for all guests. Meals are served in our Tivoli dining room, and Johnny Mac Lounge offers a nice, relaxed atmosphere for your delegates to unwind in the evening.
By far one of the greatest features of our training facility is its private and quiet setting as well as the inherent security that comes with the type of training provided here.
Pacific Region Training Centre
The Pacific Region Training Centre offers a unique tranquil setting along the banks of the Vedder River in South Chilliwack. The meeting and conference rooms offer state-of-the-art multimedia presentation equipment and range in size from small 12-seat boardrooms to multi- purpose rooms that will accommodate up to 220 delegates. Our Exhibition Hall can be used for conferences or trade shows of up to 350 people.
Scenario Based Training Building (SBTA)
This building houses various residential mock-op suites where various simulated scenarios can be staged for hands-on training. A catwalk around the perimeter of the building allows instructors and trainers to observe candidates while participating in the training scenarios.
Shooting Range
A shooting range with two sections of 16 lanes each provides an up to 50-meter indoor shooting range. It is located on the property within easy walking distance of all the training buildings.
Drill Hall
A 15,000 square-foot drill hall can be used for any sporting and recreational activities such as Hockey, Basketball etc. In addition, skills training and testing can take place at this facility. The drill hall can easily be converted into a conference centre for up to 350 delegates.
